Who I Am

My Journey

I’ve always loved building new relationships with others.

In 2013, while obtaining my Bachelor’s degree in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing, I volunteered to help our International students program at Corban University. I was 20 years old and it was my responsibility to get them adjusted to American life while also teaching them English. It completely opened my eyes. I fell in love with trying to understand different cultures and ways of life and learned the best way to connect with others around the world was to teach English.

In 2018 I lived in Italy/Austria for a summer. I stayed with host families who taught me their language and way of life. My passion grew deeper.

In 2020 I received my TEFL certification and began teaching adults of all cultures (Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Moroccan, Brazilian, German, and much more) professionally for the next 2 years. I felt like this sealed my future of teaching because I’d officially taught all ages and loved every minute.

Fast forward to now, I live in Japan! In 2022, I moved here to teach both children and adults and begin producing my own content for teachers and students alike. I feel I have the unique experience of learning a new language (Japanese & Italian) and feel I can now relate the every day struggles it brings.

I’m so lucky to have a job that I absolutely adore. It doesn’t even feel like work. I’m excited for the future and hope that whoever is reading this can be a part of it 🙂

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate...

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us."
